  2. Open the generator and paste it.
  3. Set the options listed above.
  4. Download the SVG and check it before you cut.

How to use the AI prompt builder

  1. Tap what you are making. An ornament, a sign, earrings, a cake topper: the prompt names the item, so the picture comes out in a fitting shape.
  2. Choose a theme and a main picture. Every theme has its own set of ready ideas. If none of them fits, describe your own picture in the field below the buttons.
  3. Add small details and words. Stars, snowflakes or leaves around the picture, a ready phrase, or a name and a date of your own.
  4. Pick a style, a frame and hanging holes. The style matters most: it decides whether the design is cut as one solid shape, as a pattern with openings, or engraved as lines.
  5. Copy the prompt and paste it into the AI SVG generator. Then set the four options shown under the prompt: they are part of the result.

The prompt is plain text, and you can edit it in the box before you copy it. Your choices are saved in your browser, so you can come back and change one thing without starting again.

The four styles and when to use each

Silhouette
Cut-out pattern
Line art
Layered
The same star in each of the four styles. These are simple drawings that explain the idea, not results from the generator.
Silhouette
One solid shape with nothing inside it. Nothing can fall out, so it is the easiest style to cut and a good first try. Works well for ornaments, earrings, cake toppers and keychains.
Cut-out pattern
A solid shape with openings in it, like a stencil. Light passes through, which suits door hangers, wall art and night light panels. Every part has to stay joined to the outer edge.
Line art
Outlines only. Use it for engraving or scoring on coasters, tags and signs, or as a drawing on top of a solid shape.
Layered
The design shown assembled in three flat colors. Each color is one layer of wood: you separate the layers by color in your design software and cut each from its own sheet.

Why a prompt for laser cutting is different

An AI generator draws a nice picture by default: soft shading, thin lines, small details, a background. A laser needs the opposite. That is why every prompt from this builder ends with the same set of rules.

  • Bold shapes, no thin lines. A line thinner than your material can hold breaks when you lift the piece off the sheet.
  • No tiny details. Small parts burn away or get lost once the design is cut at the size of an ornament or an earring.
  • No gradients, no shading, no background. A cutting file is made of clear edges. Soft transitions turn into a mess of small shapes.
  • Parts that stay attached. The inside of a letter O or the middle of a flower falls out unless a small bridge holds it to the rest.

The options to set in the generator

The words of the prompt are only half of the result. The generator has its own options under the prompt box, and they open on settings made for colorful prints. The builder shows which ones to choose for your style:

Style in the builderStyleComplexityStroke widthColor

Cut-out patternFilledSimpleThickBlack & White

Treat these as a starting point. If the result is too busy, switch “Amount of detail” to the simplest setting and generate again.

Example of a finished prompt

A Christmas ornament with a reindeer, a few snowflakes and a name, as a cut-out pattern in a round frame:

Laser cut hanging ornament design: a reindeer head with antlers. Black shapes with cut-out openings on a plain white background, like a stencil, with every part connected to the outer edge. Decorated with snowflakes. Set inside a round frame. Include the text “Emma” in thick, bold block lettering that is easy to cut. Add a small round hanging hole at the top. Bold simple shapes, no thin lines, no tiny details, no gradients, no shading, no background texture. Flat 2D vector for laser cutting.

What to expect from the result

The generator gives you a starting design, not a file that is guaranteed to cut well. Open the SVG in your laser or design software and go through the short list below before you put a full sheet into the machine. Most fixes take a minute: add a bridge, thicken a line, delete a stray shape.

Questions and answers

Is the AI SVG generator free?
The AI SVG generator belongs to Creative Fabrica. New accounts start with a free trial that needs a payment card and includes a limited number of AI coins. The paid plan begins when the coins run out or the trial ends, and you can cancel the subscription at any time. Read the current terms on their page before you sign up.
Can I use the prompt in another AI tool?
Yes. It is plain text, so you can paste it into any AI image or SVG tool. The four options under the prompt apply only to the Creative Fabrica generator.
Why does the layered style come out as one picture?
Asking for layers as separate pieces gives parts that do not fit together. One assembled picture in three flat colors works better: each color becomes one layer when you split the design by color.
Do I have to write anything myself?
No. Every step has buttons, and the prompt is ready after the first tap. The two text fields are there for a picture or a name that the buttons do not offer.
How do I price what I make?
Use our laser cut pricing calculator: it shows how many pieces fit on a sheet and what one item costs you.
I only need a name on a plain shape. Do I need AI for that?
No. The name sign maker draws it for you: type the name, pick the lettering and the shape, and download the SVG.

Check the file before you cut

  • Every inner piece is attached to the frame. A loose piece falls out when the cut is done.
  • Lines and gaps are thick enough for your material at the size you plan to cut.
  • Shapes are closed and there are no doubled lines on top of each other.
  • Run a small test cut on scrap first.
