About SVG DIY and Our Laser Cut SVG Files for Wood

Hi! Welcome to SVG DIY.

Creativity is not only about making beautiful things. It is also about sharing inspiration, skill and company with people who love to create.

SVG DIY grew out of my own love for digital crafts, modern design and the DIY spirit. So I focus on two things: laser cut projects and 3D layered ones. For example, shadow boxes, layered mandalas and the crafts people actually sell. Then I write the tutorial I wanted to read myself. That way it works whether you are starting out or taking your craft further.

On this blog, you’ll discover carefully curated SVG files for personal and small business use.

Every project and post here comes from the same idea: creativity should be practical. So I hope SVG DIY helps you bring your favourite ideas to life.

Let’s create something wonderful together!
Valeria

How this site works

Two things stand behind every post. Money is disclosed. Some links are affiliate links, so the marketplace may pay us a commission at no extra cost to you. See the Affiliate Disclosure page for details, because that commission keeps the tutorials free. Every design gets its own note. Our guides go through a collection design by design, and each design links to its source. So you can see what a set holds before you leave this site.

How we pick the free laser cut SVG files

We pick the designs by hand on Creative Fabrica, where they come free with a subscription. First we go through the preview images and the maker’s own description: what the set holds, how many designs it has, and which formats sit in the archive. Then we sort the picks into collections. In other words, our notes follow the listing and the previews, not a test cut of every file.

We group the collections the way people actually cut: by season, by room, by type of object. For example, door hangers and porch signs, tealight lanterns and night lights, kitchen boards, boxes, games and wooden earrings. Each collection page lists every design in it. Our guides then go through them one by one. As a result, you know what you are downloading before you spend a sheet of plywood.

Who these laser cut SVG files for wood are for

For people with a laser at home or in a small workshop. That means a Glowforge, an xTool, an OMTech or a diode machine on the kitchen table. Most files suit 3 mm plywood. So they work for a first cut, and they work for a market stall too. Several makers we cover state a commercial licence, so you can sell the pieces you cut.
